In this headline presentation Matt and Paul will discuss how Parrotdog has grown from home brewing in their student flat in 2009, to now being one of the largest craft beer brands in New Zealand with one of the top selling craft beer SKUs in their Birdseye Hazy IPA.
From their large scale craft brewery and bar production facility in Lyall Bay Wellington, they are producing in excess of 3 million litres per annum. With new equity onboard, via a recently completed equity raise with Snowball Effect, they are primed to continue to grow the brewery and brand.
Being an asset intensive business, this recent equity raise with Snowball is the third crowdfunding campaign Parrotdog has completed - the first via Pledgeme in 2016 raising $2mil in 2 days, then opening its doors again in 2017 to meet the high demand and interest in joining their journey.
Paul joined Parrotdog in 2013 as the first employee and has worked in, and added value to most areas of the business. Moving to be Head of Sales in 2017, then Managing Director in 2021, he now implements and executes the strategy set by the Board, leads the management team and oversees day-to-day operations.
Matt has been with Parrotdog since inception and has had solely financial and commercial focused roles. Matt oversees all commercial matters including strategic finance, audit and risk, insurance, legals, property and leasing, shareholder management, systems and processes.
